* INTRODUCTION:
🌿 SpecWhite® 02 – A stable Vitamin C derivative from green enzymatic technology:
• SpecWhite® 02 is a stable derivative of Vitamin C produced via an enzymatic transglucosylation process.
• Compared with traditional chemical synthesis, the enzymatic process provides higher selectivity, better bioavailability, stronger biological activity, and cost efficiency.
• The bonding between ascorbic acid and glucose enhances the ingredient’s stability, preventing oxidation under heat or light. Once absorbed by the skin, it gradually releases Ascorbic Acid, the active form responsible for brightening, antioxidant effects, and tyrosinase inhibition.

* THE EFFICACY TEST OF SPECWHITE® 02
1. Inhibitory Effects of SpecWhite® 02 on Tyrosinase Activity -Spec Chem’s Lab

=> Conclusion: The inhibition rate of 16.0 mg/mL SpecWhite® 02 on tyrosinase enzyme activity can reach 92.1%, and the IC50 value of SpecWhite®02 is calculated to 12.7 mg/mL according to the doseresponse curve.

2. Scavenge free radical (DPPH) effect of SpecWhite® 02 (Anti-oxidation) -Spec Chem’s Lab

=> Conclusion: According to Brand-Williams (1995) method, the result shows that SpecWhite® 02 can reduce DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) to 91.6% and the Ec50 value of SpecWhite® 02 (Ascorbyl glucoside) is 0.0108 mg/mL.

3. Ascorbyl Glucoside (i.e. 2-O-α-glucopyranosyl-L-ascorbic, AA2G ) promote collagen synthesis in human skin fibroblasts

=> Conclusion: Ascorbyl Glucoside stimulates collagen synthesis in cultured fibroblasts and enhances antibody production in cultured splenocytes

4. Protective Effects of Ascorbyl Glucoside on UVA-induced DNA damage

=> Conclusions: Consumers believe that solar protection is needed only during the daytime. It has been now shown that DNA damage could occur hours after the exposure to the sun, specifically UVA. The results from this study indicate that the use of Ascorbyl Glucoside, enhances the protection against delayed DNA damage (dark CPD formation) in the skin. It may be applied for formulating a more effective skincare product which helps to alleviate skin damage after the solar exposure, potentially in a form of the evening skin care product.
