* INTRODUCTION:
• BPE-800(Phenoxyethanol) is one of the most widely us ed preservatives in personal care products including det ergents, cosmetics, toiletries and pharmaceuticals.
• It is an organic chemical compound, a glycol ether oft en used in dermatological products such as skin creams and sunscreen. It is a colorless oily liquid. It is a bacteric ide (usually used in conjunction with quaternary ammon ium compounds).

• Preservative in personal care formulations
• Solvent and plasticizer for Nitrocellulose, Cellulose Acetate, Ethyl Cellulose and many vinyl, phenolic, alkyd and ester‐type resins in water‐based coatings
