INTRODUCTION:
– Stress can lead to sensitive skin issues such as rashes, wrinkles, hair loss, acne, weakened skin barrier, eczema, hyperpigmentation, psoriasis, urticaria, and more. Cortisol, an important hormone that helps protect us in daily life (when at normal levels), can have negative effects when elevated due to stress or external factors, leading to various body problems.
– Bitter melon extract inhibits the expression of the enzyme 11β-HSD1, which produces cortisol, to prevent harmful effects during stress. The bitterness of bitter melon is due to an alkaloid called Momordicin, which helps reduce cholesterol and improve blood flow. Bitter melon contains 120mg of Vitamin C per 100g of fruit, which is 20 times more than cucumber and 5 times more than lemon. It is also rich in vitamins and minerals that help improve skin issues, prevent aging, moisturize, soothe, and provide antioxidant benefits.
