* CHARACTERISTICS AND USES:

– Water dispersion Carbomer 940EZ, with a pH of about 3.0, when neutralized by an alkaline organic or inorganic substance, (usually NaOH, KOH or TEA (triethanolamine) is used) turns into a gel. Transparent Thick gel is achieved from pH 5.0-7.4, best used at pH > 6, allowing formulations to choose the most suitable pH.

– The exceptional clarity and texture of the gel with Carbomed 940 EZ is not affected by high concentrations of polar solvents, such as 60% ethanol.

– Increase viscosity for beauty products

– Create consistency, thickness, create clear gel for cosmetic lines.

– Increases the cohesion and stability of ingredients in lotions and creams O/W.

*APPLICATION:

– As a thickener for gel products, serums, skin care creams, hair, hand gels, floor cleaning…

– Rate of use:

+ Create thick gel: 0.2- 1.5%

+ Stable in emulsion O/W: 0.1-0.3%.

*USING:

Add the carbomer to the water phase of the product, stirring with a whisk or handmixer until the carbomer is completely hydrated and forms a translucent liquid gel. No need to be affected by temperature. Adjust pH > 6 with NaOH, TEA, KOH, Tris amino, to stabilize or create a clear gel.

*NOTE:

Stir gently to avoid foaming. Can be mixed with glycerin before adding to the water phase to avoid clumping.
