* CHARACTERISTICS AND USES:

GMS 60 – is the glycerin ester of stearic acid.

Glycerin monostearate is commonly used in beauty products with the following uses:

– An emollient and skin-soothing agent that creates a barrier on the skin to help retain moisture and prevent transepidermal water loss.

– It is an emulsifier, could be combine with other emulsifier to creat O/W cream system for a soft feeling cream.

– Acts as a lubricant on the surface of the skin, giving the skin a soft and smooth appearance.

– In terms of cream shape when using GMS 60, it is also different at low or high concentrations. When at a low ratio it is considered a thickener. When in high ratio, it creates smooth-soft for cosmetics such as creams, lotions, creams.

– Use for hot process.

– High safety, does not irritate the skin, does not cause stickiness or clog pores.
