* CHARACTERISTICS AND USES:
• Beeswax is a secretion from worker bees, consisting of myricin (a mixture of >70 wax esters) and cerin (a mixture of fatty acids: palmitic, cerotic, and melissinic acids).
• Beeswax White is refined beeswax, with impurities removed, specifically used for cosmetics. Its functions include:
– Softening and moisturizing the skin, preventing chapping.
– Protecting the skin from environmental aggressors and slowing down skin aging.
– Naturally antimicrobial, antifungal, and antioxidant.
– Increasing hardness and consistency in creams, lipsticks, and other formulations.
– Must be melted when incorporated into formulas; suitable only for hot processes.

• APPLICATION:
– Beeswax is used in various soaps, depilatory creams, skincare creams, and hair care products.
– Especially common in lipsticks and solid perfumes.

• USAGE RATE:
– Soap: <5% (provides hardness for handmade soaps)
– Wax-based skincare products (lip balm, body wax, chapping wax): 25–30%
– Liquid-based skincare products (body butter, lotion, cream): <10%
