*APPLICATION:

– CMIT/MIT is a powerful biocide. That means it is a chemical that can control or kill harmful microorganisms. It works well as a preservative in personal care products such as shampoos and body care products such as moisturizers, sunscreens, shaving creams, mascaras, etc.

– In addition to its use in cleaning products, methylisothiazolinone has a wide range of other uses, such as preventing: bacteria, fungi, mold and the formation of algae. It is used in paper mills, oil extraction operations, metalworking fluids, refrigeration and water treatment systems, construction materials such as: adhesives, paints, resins, emulsions, etc. soy sauce, wood products.

– CMIT/MIT works well over a wide pH range of 2 – 9.

– In cosmetics, the content used is in the range of 0.05 – 0.2% and in other industries at 3%.
